Biography

Sean Scanlon is a partner in the New York office of Caldwell Partners, and is the leader of the firm’s Media and Entertainment Practice.

Sean has placed senior executives across all functional disciplines for companies that span the media and entertainment landscape. His clients include global media companies, broadcast and cable networks, news organizations, sports networks and teams, television station groups and studios, radio networks and digital content organizations. He has also worked on organizational design and development for the programming, newsgathering, digital media and ad sales functions within broadcast and cable news organizations, and the re-design of an international music and lifestyle service.

Prior to joining Caldwell Partners, Sean was a senior client partner in the Media & Entertainment Practice at Korn/Ferry International. Before that, he served as president of SCG Executive Search, a division of Sucherman Consulting Group, Inc. During his 15-year tenure, he designed and supervised the development of the company’s executive search operations, research and database management processes, and served as a senior management consultant. Previously, he was a market research analyst and sales & marketing administrator in biotechnology. He began his career in commercial television production in New York.

Sean holds a bachelor’s degree in history with a concentration in radio, television and film from Northwestern University.
