Biography

Marnie McBryde is a partner in Caldwell Partners’ New York office and a member of the Retail/Consumer and Financial Services practices. With more than 25 years of experience in the executive search industry, Marnie’s particular forte is recruiting board directors and C-level executives across a broad category of sectors that include branded consumer products & luxury goods, media & entertainment, consumer financial services and not-for-profit organizations. Her clients also come to her for her considerable expertise in CEO succession planning.   Prior to joining Caldwell Partners, Marnie was the president of McBryde & Partners, a firm she founded in 2006. She previously ran the New York office’s Retail & Consumer Practice at Korn/Ferry International. Marnie spent 12 years at Spencer Stuart, where she managed large scale global relationships with clients such as American Express, Bank of America, Citibank, Donna Karan, Marsh McLennan and Polo. She held multiple leadership positions, including serving on the firm’s nominating committee, as well as posts in Hong Kong and Tokyo. Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Marnie ran her own boutique search firm, focused on senior-level recruitment with offices in New York and Tokyo.

Marnie also has an in-depth background and specialized expertise in candidate assessment, having run the New York University graduate school career testing program, prior to entering the executive search industry.   Marnie holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina, and a master’s degree from New York University. She is involved in a number of not-for-profit initiatives, and is a recent board director of God’s Love We Deliver, and a past board director and executive committee member of the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.
