Biography
Darin DeWitt, leader of Caldwell Partners’ Life Sciences & Healthcare Practice, focuses on building senior management teams (the board, chief executive officer and their direct reports) for leading and emerging healthcare companies, as well as private equity firm and venture capital groups. Since entering the search profession in 1992, he has engaged in more than 300 searches.
Before joining Caldwell Partners, Darin was a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ global Life Sciences and Private Equity practices and was a member of Highland Partners’ global Healthcare and Private Equity practices until its acquisition in October 2006.
Prior to his career in executive search, Darin co-founded and served as chief operating officer of a specialty IPA management company focusing on obstetric and gynecology capitation management. In addition, he built and ran a physician services company. He attended the University of Southern California and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Pepperdine University.
From 1997 until 2001 Darin served on the board of the Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce serving as an officer from 1998 to 2000. Darin became a member of the Northern Trust Open Tournament Committee in 1998 and has served as chair of PGA Tour & Players Relations for the past 10 years. Since its inception, this event has generated more than $50 million for philanthropic programs in Southern California. In 2009 he joined the board of The Harmony Project, an award-winning research-based program that targets at-risk youth and promotes positive youth development through on-going year-round music lessons and youth orchestra participation.
