About Bethany

Bethany George is a consultant in Caldwell’s Board & CEO and Private Equity/Venture Capital practices. With more than 25 years of search experience, Bethany has recruited more than 125 board directors for companies across a variety of industries, geographies, and ownership structures (public, private, as well as portfolio companies of venture capital and private equity firms). Her industry sub-specialties include financial services, consumer, internet, SaaS, energy, and real estate/E&C.

Experience

Previously, Bethany was a core member of the CEO & Board and Financial Services practices at Heidrick & Struggles. She was also actively involved with WomenCorporateDirectors, helping facilitate their annual survey of global board directors. Bethany joined Heidrick through the acquisition of Highland Partners, which was itself spun out of TMP Worldwide in 2003. She joined TMP through the acquisition of Rollo Associates, a Los Angeles-based provider of nationwide executive search services. She began her career as a research associate with Korn/Ferry International, where she was promoted to research director for Southern California within two years’ time.

Education

Bethany received her bachelor’s degree with honors from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She is a graduate of the Riordan Volunteer Leadership Development Program, which prepares executives for non-profit board service.

Active in the community, she is a past board director of the American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles and a member of the Westchester Lutheran School PSO Board. In 2009, she was nominated by the Los Angeles Business Journal for the annual Women Making a Difference Awards in the Rising Star category.
