Privacy Policy

This website is operated by The Caldwell Partners International Inc.

The Caldwell Partners International Inc. and its affiliates (“Caldwell Partners”, “we” or “us”) provide Executive Search services and related services (together, the “Services”) worldwide. This Privacy Policy covers how Caldwell Partners collects, receives, uses, retains, discloses and transfers Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) on our website (the “Website” or “Site), through our email and offline.

PII includes information about you that is personally identifying such as your name, email address and phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available. PII may include other types of information depending on the legal definition of PII that applies in your physical location. Only the definition of PII that applies in your location will apply to you under this Privacy Policy.

By using this Site, you accept and hereby expressly consent to our collection, use, retention, processing, disclosure and transfer, including international or cross-border transfer, of your PII in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. You agree that your consent is voluntary, explicit and unambiguous and is free and informed.

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time, so please check back periodically to check the most recent modification date to ensure that you are aware of any changes in our processing of your PII. Your continued use of the Site or the Services after any changes signifies your express, explicit, voluntary and unambiguous consent to any such changes. If you do not agree to such changes, you must immediately stop using the Site. This Privacy Policy was last modified on October 6, 2016.

Information Collection and Use; Choice and Consent

You may browse our executive opportunities and review certain information on the Site without providing us with PII, although your IP address will be collected. When you contact us by email or phone, we will collect your email address or phone number, as applicable, in order to respond to you. When you subscribe to the Site, we collect your email address. When you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your first and last name, email address, title, department and company and add it to our list of subscribers so you can receive our email newsletters.

When you register to become a candidate or to apply for a job, we collect your first, last and middle name, physical address, phone number and email address. When you submit your resume or C.V., we collect your email address plus a copy of your resume, which may include additional PII and other information such as career and compensation history. We request that you do not provide sensitive personal information on your resume or C.V., for example: racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or other similar beliefs, trade union membership, physical or mental health, sex life, criminal history, Social Security or National Insurance numbers, or payment card information, as defined by applicable law. We may also gather information on a candidate’s qualifications for our client’s roles based on feedback provided by formal references and through other sources, including third parties who may verify details provided to us in a resume such as references, background checks, employment history and credentials.

When you register for an event with us, such as a CEO Conference, we collect your registration information including your name, email address, phone number, title and company. We add this information to your candidate profile. All payments for events are processed through PayPal and are subject to PayPal’s terms of service and privacy policy. We do not collect or receive any payment information when you purchase a ticket or register for an event.

We may have certain clients in the U.S. that collect demographic information about potential applicants in order to meet U.S. federal or state legal requirements or to maintain a diverse workforce.

It is always your choice whether or not to provide us with such information. If you do provide PII, you are giving your express, explicit, voluntary and unambiguous consent to the collection, use, retention, transfer and disclosure, including international transfer and disclosure, of your PII and sensitive information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you choose not to provide the requested information you may not be able to access certain features or functions of this Site. You may access, change, modify or delete your information, at any time, as described below.

Caldwell Partners uses your PII to:

  1. Reply to your request for information, including newsletters;

  8. Create de-identified aggregated information for statistical purposes, to improve our Site and Services, and to improve user experience.

You may revoke your consent, and/or object to or block processing of your PII by emailing a request to us at We will respond to your request in accordance with the law that applies to you. Your PII that we processed prior to your request may not be deleted from our Site system records but will be blocked from further processing without your permission. A request to revoke consent or block processing of your PII may not apply to information collected by cookies or used internally to recognize you and/or facilitate your visits to the Site, or information we may keep to comply with legal requirements.

Protection of Your Information

We will take appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect PII from theft, other loss, misuse, and any unauthorized access, copying, collection, use, disclosure, alteration, forgery, destruction or technical errors. We follow generally accepted standards to protect the PII submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We will retain PII for as long as necessary to provide our services. We will retain and use PII as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We disclose your PII to our client companies who hire us to find executive level candidates for their open positions, if your qualifications meet their requirements. We disclose users’ PII to third parties who provide services that you request, to third party vendors who help us operate the Site, and to our partners. These third parties may be located worldwide, including in the U.S., and are contractually obligated to maintain the confidentiality of your PII consistent with the terms of this policy and to comply with the applicable data protection laws.

We will disclose your information in response to valid legal process, for example, in response to a court order, a subpoena or other legal request for information, and/or to comply with applicable legal and regulatory reporting requirements. We also may disclose your information in response to a law enforcement agency’s request or other request for information from the U.S. or other government entities, or where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing our products and/or services and with applicable laws, or as otherwise required or permitted by law or consistent with legal requirements. In addition, we may transfer your information to an entity or individual that acquires, buys, or merges with Caldwell Partners, or our other business units.

International or Cross-Border Transfer of Your Personal Information and Your Express Agreement

Given that the Internet operates in a global environment and that transfer of your data is necessary to process your registration, to assist you in your job search, to enable you to use the features and services on the Site, to provide updates, and to respond to your inquiries, using the Internet to collect and process PII necessarily involves the transmission of data on an international or cross-border basis. By signing up for or using the Services, and/or by communicating with us by email, you acknowledge and expressly, explicitly, voluntarily and unambiguously consent to our processing and disclosure of your PII in this way. The PII of users who are located outside the U.S. will be transferred outside of each eligible country to Canada, the U.S. or other countries where our servers are located, or to another cloud-based location, where it will be processed and stored. The PII of users will also be accessible by our employees and contractors located in the U.S. and other locations worldwide. The U.S. has not been recognized as providing an adequate level of protection according to the data protection requirements of certain other countries and territories (including countries and territories in which users may be located such as the European Union (EU), Argentina, Peru or others), but we will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that users’ PII is treated securely in respect of such transfer and as described in this Privacy Policy.

By registering for or using the Site or Services or by sending us emails, you expressly agree to such transfer, processing, storage and disclosure in countries, such as the U.S. and other locations, outside of the country or territory in which you reside. By accessing, signing up for or using the Services, sending us email, or by sending us a resume, you provide your express, explicit, voluntary, unambiguous, free and informed consent to our disclosure of your PII to our client companies and third party vendors for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Social media features are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Site. This Privacy Policy does not apply to these features. Your interactions with these features would be governed by the privacy policy and other policies of the companies providing them.
