Les Gombik  

Managing Partner

Les Gombik is the managing partner of Caldwell Partners’ Calgary office. With more than 15 years of executive search and human resources experience, Les has a broad perspective on the most pressing talent issues in executive management today. His particular focus is on board and senior executive positions in the energy sector as well as in customer-service intensive businesses such as retail, financial services, transportation and industrials.

Prior to joining Caldwell, Les worked for the leading international human resources consulting firm, where he engaged with hundreds of organizations to help them address their employee attraction, retention and engagement issues. Previous to that, Les worked in the financial services sector providing solutions to many of Canada's largest employers.

An active volunteer, Les is a frequent contributor to many of Alberta's largest associations and charities, including the Human Resources Institute of Alberta, the Human Resources Association of Calgary and the Calgary Chamber of Commerce. He is on the board of the Children's Wish Foundation and is also a section chair for the United Way of Calgary. In addition, he is the founder and president of the Bull Club of Canada.

Les has a Bachelor of Arts in administrative and commercial studies from the University of Western Ontario, is the Calgary Chapter UWO Alumni president, and has obtained his ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
