Carol Hartman

Partner

Carol joined Caldwell Partners International from a boutique firm she founded 15 years ago. Her practice focuses on community and regional banking, asset management, private banking and wealth, compliance, as well as retirement income. She has also been retained to help clients in other industries recruit senior Financial Officers and Board members.

Prior to starting her executive search firm, Carol held positions with Oppenheimer's ALM Group, Kidder Peabody, Dean Witter Capital Markets and Sutro & Co. She developed a deep understanding of institutional fixed income and equities, corporate finance, plus investment products. Her work with these firms provided her with a strong management background. This has proven valuable when consulting with clients about market trends and dynamics, positions in their companies, as well as search strategy.

A tribute to Carol’s reputation and dedication to quality are the long term client relationships she maintains. Her clients have great confidence in her in depth assessment of candidates, along with her ability to align client and candidate values, along with cultural fit. Carol is always seeking to work with thought leaders in the industry by paying attention to new products, services and trends facing financial services. She is a leader in the Retirement Income Industry Association and the Financial Economics Institute.

Carol serves on the Kravis Leadership Institute Board of Advisors, which is associated with Claremont McKenna College. In addition, her article, “The Positive Effects of Building Corporate Leadership through Executive Search” was published in Leadership Review, an Institute publication. Carol has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California.
