Founded in 1995 by Caldwell Partners, Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 celebrates the achievements of 40 Canadians in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, who have demonstrated remarkable success before passing the age of 40. By building awareness and support across Canada for these outstanding individuals, this program serves an example of national unity.
Designed to promote professional development, mentorship, and awareness, the award introduces these remarkable leaders to the business community and the general public, and promotes them as role models for other aspiring young Canadians.
The honourees are chosen by a distinguished advisory board comprising of a wide range of disciplines and augmented by past recipients of the award. The advisory board takes into consideration five major criteria in determining the recipients of the award:
- Vision and leadership
- Innovation and achievement
- Community involvement and contribution
- Growth and development strategies
