– Michael Gooley brings more than 10 years of search experience –
Toronto– January 8, 2013 – Retained executive search firm The Caldwell Partners International Inc. (TSX: CWL) today announced a major enhancement to its recruiting capabilities in the Technology, Telecomms & IT Services and Financial Services practices with the addition of Michael Gooley as a Partner.
“With more than a decade of experience in the executive search industry, Mike has built a reputation for placing senior-level finance, risk, compliance and technology professionals,” said Elan Pratzer, managing partner, Canada. “He will be a great complement to our team as we continue to drive a sector-specialised approach here in Canada.”
Mr. Gooley joins Caldwell Partners from Robert Half International, where he was regional vice president of the firm’s Financial Services Practice. During his tenure there he led the consulting and professional services divisions of Robert Half, including finance and accounting, technology, and RHI Executive Search. Consistently recognized as one of their top search professionals, he was a multiple Chairman’s and President’s Club award recipient.
Prior to joining the recruitment industry, Mike was a chief financial officer for a private company and held senior roles with subsidiaries of The Toronto-Dominion Bank and the Bank of Nova Scotia. He started his career with Price Waterhouse in assurance services. He has been an active member of the Seneca College, Accounting and Finance Advisory Committee since 2007 and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels for many years.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Arts in management economics from the University of Guelph and holds his Chartered Accountant designation with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
