Founded in 1970 by C. Douglas Caldwell, The Caldwell Partners International Inc. was Canada's first retained executive search firm.

In 1989, The Caldwell Partners International was the first executive search firm in North America to become a public company. The Company's non-voting Class A Shares are traded on The Toronto Stock Exchange (symbol: CWL.A).
